You went straight into the dark

I've been dead tired today and  been just rotting on the couch after the work. I hate when the energy level is zero and there would be loads of interesting affairs to do, but it's purely my own fault. I could go sleep early, but I'm a child of the night which means that I'm getting energetic just before the night. On the other hand I've been quite productive for the past days and brought about all kind of things so this tiredness is kind of very understandable.

Instead of whining I introduce you an outfit from the other day. After a long period I decided to put on a corset. I should do a new PVC corset because this old one is everything but close-fitting. PVC is still one of my favorite material in the corsets and very splashy all in all. Vinyl leggings would be wearable too.

A lovely bird skull brooch which I rarely wear because I'm afraid of breaking it.

Corset: diy, Skirt: Flea market, Shirt: H&M, Brooch: WGT
One painting project I made recently. I made a day of 12 hours last week and after that I went to buy new acrylic paints because I was inspired and the old paints were dried up since the last painting time. I'm quite happy with the result and can't wait for getting it onto the wall.
Me and my loved went to see Star Wars on Sunday and if I describe it in one word it is brilliant. Suitably humorous, gloomy and unexpected and not forgetting a visual flair. Definitely a worth of 3 d. I would like to reveal some parts of the plot, but I don't do that. There is surely people who have not seen it and I don't want to spoil. I should visit the cinema diligently this spring because I got a bunch of tickets as a birthday gift from my beloved and they should be used by May. Hope there goes something worth watching.

Opus Dei

I was off yesterday and what a wonderful winter day it was (like it was also today). Right after a cup of morning coffee, I took my camera and headed out to capture landscapes pictures. I didn't plan a route beforehand, I just walked ahead and found some new places, worth of pictures. Eventually after two hours my fingers were so frozen that I needed to return home and twist the fingers around a hot tea mug. I would have wanted to wander more outdoors, but it's always the same story, the fingers die.
Cemetery looked wonderful in white.  Hope this beauty won't disappear too soon.
I found a beautiful statue which I haven't noticed before.
This coat is still one of my favorite winter overcoats. Unfortunately it's not made by myself. And naturally, a beret is on.

2018

A New year got me into a whirl immediately and that's why my absence. Just a few days have gone, but my mind is already tumbled about the thoughts and choices.  I do hope this year brings joy and not sorrow. Last year was quite okay even though some darker clouds shaded a life in the summer.

I didn't promise any special resolutions this year. I do continue my gym work-out as I did last year (I visited 122 times the gym). I'm going to focus on art, sewing and photography, reading of the books and so on. Less computer and more real life ;D That's what I always promise.

I spent New Year Eve at Vastavirta where was performing a bunch of bands. I was quite tired and didn't pour much alcohol through a throat during that night, but I took a lot  of photos instead.
I've burnt a lot of candles while trying to solve my thoughts. Positive troubles.
I have a deep crow and cat fever. Hope I find some relief soon ;) By the way I watched one of my favorite film The Crow a week ago and it's still pure love. A long time has gone since I watched it last.
I wish you happy New Year! Let it bring some joy with.

Give me the wings

A few more picture from Yule time. As you can see it was a fairly drab weather and not at all dreamy white as it should be. I was hoping to get the snow, but what I got was tears from the sky. But okay, I like to admire this dead nature through a lens. White Christmas is rare on this latitude these days, but sometimes it happens, but most often it looks like this.
I'm so in love with the granny hat and white collars. An outfit from the first Yule day.
I found an ancient horseshoe. It's probably from the time when my grandma had a horse so it's really old. By the way I would like to go riding some day. I have never been, but I have always wanted and some time ago I noticed that here is arranged courses for adults who have less or not at all experience. I believe it would be worth trying at least once in a life or perhaps I fall in love.
If you want to see more pictures like my page here. I've activated and updating it again.
I'm suffering from an awful travel fever once again. I went through some old pictures and the fever just increased. I so would like to (re)visit such a many places from Africa to Big Apple. I remember when I visited Rome and Paris and after that I was "well now I've seen them, no need to go there anymore", but now those places attract me again. I do hope I have more possibilities to travel in the future.

Spirit of the winter

Yule rolls to its end and it's a time to start focusing the mind on the coming year. I'm returning back to home today and tomorrow daily routines start running again. I hope you all had a congenial weekend and you got to spend it there where you wished. I've been really calmly at the folks and spent some quality time with a camera and been surrounded by cats. Of course I have bathed at sauna and poured  red wine down a throat not forgetting all those delicious food. This Yule could have been totally different following the accident which faced my dad in the summer, but luckily it wasn't.
I was dressed in this combination at eve. Not too sophisticated or colorful, but I like this look a lot.I got my  granny hat back which has been lost for a good time. I think it fits me pretty well and finishes the look.
One of those drawings that I sketched over Yule. I hope I have a lot of inspiration also in the next year.  This year I've spent nicely time with the creative affairs.
When it comes to the gifts, I'm not going to do any unboxing post, but I can reveal that I got mostly coins which I'll invest in coloring of the skin at some point and travelling ;) I didn't want to receive pointless material, I prefer put money on experiences and exploring of the world. But naturally a granny gave me a pair of woolen socks and chocolate.
